John Green guest-hosts Mission of the Day
Author John Green helped us out with the Mission of the Day last Friday with a radical simile contest:
“Write the WORST simile (using like or as) in the opening line to your new young adult novel.”
From the scores of amazing submissions, Mr. Green picked his favorites:
“For Eleanor Kirkpatrick looking out at the ocean during day time was
like staring at an abstract painting with a big blue rectangle at the
bottom and a slightly lighter blue rectangle at the top.”
